Family images are based on old photographs, many taken in Williamstown, New Jersey in the 1950s and others in Pennsylvania in the 70s and 80s. I&#8217;ve tried to stay true to each era. This group merits a very unpleasant narrative I&#8217;ve yet to complete.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Images from China reflect my brief stay in that country, 2005-2007, to study Chinese law. Constructing them, I framed my only actual philosophy of art: the comedic need not undermine the outright beautiful. I hesitate to term this &#8216;charm&#8217; but I&#8217;m not going to claim it&#8217;s something more, either.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Going forward, well, I&#8217;m a Philadelphian at heart. I find my interest shifting to <\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Paulownia trees blooming purple along Regional Rail lines, and the Schuylkill down the block from me, Market Streett and 30th Street Station and the Parkway. Maybe Atlantic City, too.
